Deleting my website and redesigning it is just something I do. I don’t mind building websites, in fact, I kind of like building them. A bit of code, doesn’t scare me at all. So why a blog post about it? In the past I’ve always purchased a website template that I sort of liked, but I knew I would be modifying it. And well, I never had any success in achieving that, because the original theme was built with a page builder that just was too limiting and not user friendly. As page builders advance I’m now able to build my own themes. Astra, the theme here, that I created my child theme from, is super light weight and free. Elementor the page builder is super easy, drag and drop, what you see is what you get screen makes building a website super fast. Elementor page builder has the tools to create a mobile responsive website. Super handy considering 38% of my website audience view my site from a mobile device. It has taken me a little over 2 weeks to build the site. The biggest hurdle was sticking with the design I liked. A few more adjustments need to be made but I’m super happy. My first website template built from scratch. And there would have been no way to design a single post page that looks like this! How cool is that the images on the screen slide.
