Uni break

I have photographed Rebecca before in studio and this time we decided to go to the beach and do some off camera flash photography with my new battery pack. So early in the morning I decided to charge it up. Well the battery charger itself went pop, the battery was fine. So still with some charge we headed off to the beach. All these photos however were taken with natural light and still hoping to get some using the power unit.

The Boudoir Photography Launch

Over the years I have been asked to do boudoir photography for some clients. My initial reluctance was I was happy photographing newborns. With a lot of guidance from a beautiful boudoir photographer friend in the UK Tracey Hill I realised how wonderfully empowering boudoir portrait photography is. So I embarked on developing my style and portfolio and now I am ready to launch the boudoir room lol as such of Nina K Photography. So I am happy to announce that I have a wonderful professional hair and makeup artist on board Melanie from Artistic Integrity Makeup. She will professionally do your makeup and hair and if you would like stay at the photos and continue to style and fix your hair and makeup through out the shoot. How awesome is that! And of course I will guide you with your poses put the fan on, have that wind blown look like all the supermodels do, making you feel just like a supermodel for the day. Or share this experience with your “girls” and have a great day/night out after with your hair and makeup done. Send me a email and I will be happy to send out the pricing brochure. I absolutely adore photographing this milestone. Where the little ones have just learn’t to sit up on their own. Mr Charming turned on the smiles for the camera for sure.

This photo shoot started out as boring passport photos for a wonderful friend, whilst trying to get Mr Cheeky to look at the camera straight on no expression I saw how expressive his face is and what a challenge I was in for. We got one passport photo for mum and a few lets say out takes, which I love. So Mister Cheeky Happy 3rd Birthday for today.

His older sister has been a model for me for a few years now so we had to try out a new battery pack for my lights. Soo excited to have full power for my lights to go outside and this type of photography. It really adds a different dimension to photos.

And one with natural light. Which I love as well.

Now getting back to birthday boy, just after this photo he told me he was finished and proceeded to walk off set. So I asked him to hold his sisters hand, and cause he loves her he did. Setting up for the final photo, and then I told him I was done.

“Kelly your going to the pound”

and that is what we should have called her. She has excelled in domestic deafness has a fantastic attitude in defiance and believes she is boss of the street. The last week she has shown all her not so good qualities. Friday was the final straw and for her punishment I put her in the studio and told her she is having her mug shot taken for her FOR SALE sign. All threats of course and her two allies the kids are sticking by her.

and of course I have to include a photo of my beautiful 12 yr old girl who is loyal, obedient, everything a dog should be and more. She also loves babies and gets highly upset when they arrive in the studio as she always wants to say hi and be with them.
